Indoi is a think tank focused on building new social discourse which celebrates India’s diversity in unity. The organisation conducts Manthan on literature, cultural activities and social institutions of Bharat to strengthen the nation's cultural fabric through the Chennai Lit Fest started in 2021. Indoi has successfully organised four editions of the festival since 2021, and is now preparing for its fifth edition, which will continue its mission of making Bharat as a Vishwa Guru through meaningful cultural and intellectual engagement.
Historically, Bharat was a thought leader, owing internationally to its performance in social and political domains, and also set an example of exemplary principles of rule, administration, and governance. Yet, the indigenous systems in India in terms of literature and cultural values, family structure and education were greatly influenced by a period of colonisation by external forces. We at Indoi are decolonizing colonised expressions by critically analysing different domains – education, literature – through a Bharatiya lens. We are on the mission of reviving and realigning these systems with the Bharatiya thought process to bring back Bharat’s intellectual leadership. Through analysis and discourse we seek to rediscover and reintegrate traditional Bharatiya wisdom to help our nation regain its position as a global thought leader.
